This thread will be featuring posts and links to articles, videos and tutorials on every conceivable tip, trick and technique for recording, editing, mixing and mastering. Please jump in and share your tips and tricks, articles and links.
A lot of the material available on the Internet for recording, mixing etc is from the music industry. While at first you might think some of this might not apply to audio drama listen/read anyway. You'll be surprised as I have been at how valuable this information will become as your general technical knowledge base grows.
I'll start off with some links:
Videos:
Here's a video from the legendary engineer Andy Johns with some interesting tips and tricks for recording instruments, guitars, bass, drums and vocals: www.youtube.com/watch?v=AP5exS6lzFk
Forums:
The Womb Forums - this is a new forum to me. It's run by some very notable industry engineers and is full of great information
thewombforums.com/
Recording Review - this is run by home/project studio guru Brandon Drury. Lots of information and very geared towards the home/project studio - www.recordingreview.com/
Tweakheadz Lab - Billed as "The #1 Site for Learning about Home and Project Studios". This is a large site with tons of guides, tutorials, gear and technique articles and a dedicated forum. I've spent many hours and have benefited greatly from this site: www.tweakheadz.com/
This is just a start. I'll be posting every link to every notable article, forum, tutorial or video that I've found useful. I encourage everyone to do the same and share your links, opinions and experiences.
